Brian Ford

Cabinet Member for Adults & Health
Councillor for Wroughton & Wichelstowe Ward

“I am delighted to have been once again entrusted with the role of Cabinet Member for Adults & Health. Whilst the responsibilities remain the same, the priorities and delivery of our vital services has changed in many ways. My area of responsibility has been impacted most of all the Council portfolios and departments.  This is an incredibly difficult time for those working in the health and care sectors, including councils and we have had to change many ways of working in order to manage the pressures of COVID19.

My aspiration for this year is that we can beat this virus and that the sector emerges stronger and more efficient for it. We need to take this opportunity to review the way we work, employing the best from the old ways and testing new and innovative strategies and procedures. This will be a huge challenge but if we get this right it will make an improvement for the population we serve.”
