From Thursday 1st July there will be an additional 800 slots per week made available at the Recycling Centre, taking the total per week to over 4000. In the coming weeks, there will be a new check-in system to help improve the flow into the site.
Cabinet Member for Waste Kevin Parry and Cabinet Member for Organisational Excellence Rob Jandy are both happy to have championed the improvements. The feedback of the booking system has been very positive. The site is well organised, and runs smoothly. Residents visiting complete their trips in far less time than previous, and the queues are minimal.
The increase in capacity and new check-in system is all part of our commitment to improving the service to residents Swindon wide.
